Money Advice Plymouth (MAP) is a member of the following organisations:

Money Advice Plymouth is a free debt advice service offered to clients and was originally established in 2001 and set up as a voluntary sector agency under the name of Plymouth Money Advice Group.  At that stage the organisation only had ambitions, but no resources.  In 2004 we became a project of the charity of Plymouth & District MIND Association as we started to expand rapidly.  We changed our name to Money Advice Plymouth in 2005 and once we became a CIC our name was amended to Money Advice South West in 2009, achieving considerable growth since then, securing new contracts for delivery across the Plymouth area.

In March 2011 MASW readopted its former name of Money Advice Plymouth and merged with Homemaker Southwest to further ensure the continuation of the support provided to our clients. Funded by the Money Advice Service to provide free, independent, impartial and confidential support across Plymouth, South Hams and Teignbridge .

We have three full-time, qualified caseworkers who are employed solely in delivering this project.

We have a dedicated management team you can contact if you have further queries, comprising of:

Andrea Carlisle – Director

Vanessa Handley - Director of Development

Supporting the caseworkers we have very capable administration staff who will be your first point of contact at our organisation.
